My cousin, Lt. George W. Lineburg was killed in a crash in Atsugi Japan on 21 June 1969. I'm looking for more information on the crash and what type of aircraft he was flying. Any information will be appreciated.
I will post it on this web site. I did not know him. perhaps one of our readers can help you

I added a few pictures today.
a couple of my going away party at Danny’s Club in Cavite City. Can you pick me out????
and a couple of me drinking with friends, I know one of them was ??? Abbot an AT, I do not remember the other names.
I also added a few pictures of our “friends from the Far East”, just in case you forgot what it was like in the 60’s over there.
Why is it I see no mention of crash in November 1963 with loss of 16 men,,my crew relieved the crew that crashed in the mountains that night.i do know it was a major nav screwup.
I was suppose to be 2’nd radioman on the captains plane, coming in from a 10 hour operation which were ongoing around the clock. needed 8 hours on the ground before next flight(7.5) . Dick Valliere atn3 crew 7 Lt Wilkinson was our commander.
The crash of QE-1 was in August 2nd of 1962. My father was Cdr. Vegelahn, skipper of VP-40 at the time, who was killed in the crash along with 11 others.
I’ve since talked with Bernie Daugherty, the lone survivor, and he said that the plane was struck by lightning and lost all electronics. They were climbing to altitude to bail out when they struck the mountain. Go to VP-40 Mishap page for more info. http://www.vpnavy.com/vp40_mishap.html

The person listed as Glenn Farrar had a last name of Ferris (s), but I can’t remember his first name. There was another photo taken of a similar scene with Jayne Mansfield a few minutes later or earlier. In that photo I and Jayne are side by side and I have my arm around her waste. I have a copy of the one shown here but not the one I just mentioned. I’ve tried for years to to obtain a copy, but to no avail. This website’s address was given to be by someone at the National Personnel Records Center. Any information you can share would be much appreciated

Guys “Sniveling” from aircraft cleaning duties. (L to R) Dave Fulcher AX@, Jim Kellner AT2, Don Yancey AE3.
You are right Guy; thanks. Actually, this isn’t the wash crew. It is a few members from Crew 8. Remember when the aircrews had to stand down for a couple of days to clean their airplane (Soap and water wash outside, bilges pumped, decking scrubbed, etc.) That’s when these photos where taken. When all you can remember about the good times in 40; think about how fun it was to be down in those hot bilges sucking out water and hydraulic fluid. Picture L to R: Dave Fulcher AX2, Don Fletcher AXAN, Jim Kellner AT2, Don Yancey AE3.
thanks for the info Dave. I wish other folks would comment on some of the pictures with names etc.
Guy
The guy between Fulcher and Kellner is Ron Hawkins AT3 . (I sent this pic to Fulcher)
And remember when the snake got out in the bilge at white beach
