Sherrill “S.B.” Wade (1925 – 2011)    

 Sherrill “S.B.” Wade, 86, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: Please make donations to Community Hospice at chot.org. Sherrill was born March 3, 1925, in Wingate to Vida and Sam Wade. He served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years, serving in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years. He received recognition for over 50 years of continuous government service that was presented by the postmaster general. Sherrill was active in numerous military organizations and a member of the International Andalusian Horse Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jo Wade, in 2006. Survivors: Wife, Donna Hansen-Wade of Weatherford; daughters, Sherrill Lunsford and husband, Paul, of Douglasville, Ga., and Joy Wade of Fort Worth; son, Charles W. Wade and wife, Karen, of Littleton, Colo.; stepdaughter, Tonia Conner and husband, Wesley, of Little Elm; stepson, Jason Winters and wife, Megan, of White Settlement; sisters, Elizabeth Atchley of Austin and Sue Lewis of Burleson; grandchildren, Clint Thornton, Sonya Lunsford, Rebecca Wade and Tori Langley; stepgrandchildren, Gavin, Gabrieal and Giovanni Winters; special canine friend, Scooter; and a number of nieces and nephews
