I have been informed that VP30 cannot fly a P8a out to San Diego for our reunion.
The budgetvar link = document.getElementById('link2736');link.onclick = function(){document.location = link.getAttributevar link = document.getElementById('link2736');link.onclick = function(){document.location = link.getAttribute('href');} ('href');} is to tight and it is end of the year for the Feds.
Maybe for the next reunion. Hopefully VP40 will have the birds by then and can accommodate us.

Bob Richter called me tonight and he will attend the reunion . He will join our group.
He was an ADR3 in VP40 from 1961-1965var link = document.getElementById('link2736');link.onclick = function(){document.location = link.getAttribute('href');} . He was in Crew 9. He retired from the Navy as a Chief.

They will wear the costumes appropriate for the dance.

I am still awaiting word if VP30 will be able to fly a P8A over to North Island for our reunion.

I have been able to purchase some things that will be on display only. They are 1 of a kind

and they are not for sale. I also have added some hanging pictures for display.

It is still not to late to register with me and the hotel, so get off the fence and join the fun.

I cannot tell you the people I have been in contact with that CANNOT attend the reunion due to health problems,

and wish they could attend or have had to cancel due to medical problems. I have had a few questions about parking fees at the hotel during our reunion.

Our contract specifies PARKING FEES ARE WAIVED.

Remember the hotel also provides an Airport Shuttle free of charge.

My RANT for the day

Just a gentle reminder that according to my records,
we have LOST 14 VP40 members from death since our last reunion in 2014.
We also have added 16 New members to our group.
I have empirically derived (how do you like that statement ??)
that at that rate, our group will start rapidly reducing, unless 1 of 2 things take place.(or both)
1. Someone invents a MAGIC PILL that will let us live longer and better.
2. WE ALL need to beat the bushes and increase our membership.

WE changed our bylaws to now include ALL VP40 personnel, past and present.

I am in communication with VP30 and perhaps they

will be able to fly a P8A rom JAX on a FAM to North Island during our reunion.

We will be able to tour it (inside and out).

I talked to Harryvar link = document.getElementById('link2736');link.onclick = function(){document.location = link.getAttribute('href');} Hinton's wife today and she informed me that Harry passed away on 2/25/2016.

He passed at homevar link = document.getElementById('link2736');link.onclick = function(){document.location = link.getAttribute('href');} and peacefully. He had been ill for some time, I talked to him just before our last reunion

in 2014 and he was bedridden at that time. He wished us a great reunion.
